Spotify Playlist April ‘09
Hope you enjoy our first playlist. A taste of things we love at the label. Tho it’s getting warmer, it feels like an autumnal playlist, but perfect for the evenings.
You’ll need to have the Spotify app installed on your computer and have an account created (its free)…. but go on.. it’s the future.

Worth the wait, we’ve just finished mastering and merging tracks to make for a lovely 2 sided journey. Pete’s sorted the artwork, but we haven’t seen it yet. Will share with you when we can.
Pete and I are sorting out some more recording in April: potentially in a village hall: lots of mics and nice acoustics and just record record record is the plan.

Today I was talking to all round nice bloke Neil about mastering…..
Neils worked for some big record labels over the years and despite that is a music lover. I suggested that rather than labels remastering albums every few years and releasing those, why not release albums which are as nature intended: unmastered mixes?

We’ve got some new clothes on
Long time no see, hey? Joining all the dots up at one point in time seemed pretty straightforward when we started thinking about the label, but so many dots, so many variables… .There’s still lots of dots to join, but let’s get going shall we and see what we can draw…… What have got in store.. , well, we had quite a detailed plan thankyou very much, but that’s gone.. instead, we have ’some things that we’re putting out when they’re ready’. Keep dropping by wont you?

Design and Music news
Well, we’re thrilled that Stereographic are on board: they’re going to be helping us define what MAKE is through the artwork, websites and cassette releases. For at least a year.
Which now means John and I need to get our fingers out and actually release something.
Which we will.

Coffee, sticky dots and brown card
Well, we met Sam from lovely graphic design company ‘stereographic’ to chat about doing some design for us.
Our ‘meeting’ was a lesson in what a meeting should be between us creative types: expensive coffee and lots of brown card being touched.
Sam showed us lots of beautiful stuff that he’d done with his partner George. What impressed most was the extent they’d go to to hand finish their designs. Take a look at this
